Tony has been a good friend to Ray and I and our family for many years from playing badminton and for me, Sylvia, working with Tony at Broadclyst Sports Hall for nearly 30 years. Tony was a massive asset to the Sports Centre making it a welcoming place and encouraging so many youngsters to play badminton. Tony also oversaw the running of school holiday activities, playschemes and birthday parties for thousands of children over the years with the help of senior school children.
The parents of two of Tony's assistants, Mr and Mrs Bowden, have asked me to pass on their sympathy to Tony's family and friends. They say that Tony was a very kind gentleman who was very generous with his time. Their sons, William and Max, had great respect for him, as did we all. Tony will be very sadly missed.
Our thoughts are with his family.

Remembered with great affection by many present and past members of Exeter Badminton Club. His good-humoured enthusiasm and work for the Club and game locally was outstanding over many years.

I have known Tony Parker for many years, having played badminton with him at several clubs in Exeter. He was very amiable and a fine gentleman, dedicated to training badminton for both young and old players, including my three sons. One of them even went on to play for England. The badminton world has lost a very kind man. My condolences to his wife and family.
